About the Build

Explore is full-stack app that helps plan a roadtrip to all of the US National Parks. Using the MVC framework, I was able to pass data from the back end to the front end successfully. Users can search for activities and park names on the search page, which queries the National Parks Services API and the data renders in both a list view and through Google Maps.

Gram Central Station

About the Build

Gram Central Station is a full-stack app to save your favorite instagram trends. Users can upload photos of their favorite instagram trends, add some information about the trend such as location, an image, and any notes, so the next time they are trying to make weekend plans, they can view all of their saved activities and locations.

Make Me An Outfit is a full-stack app to create outfits using an outfit generator. Users can upload photos of the items in their closet, then the outfit shuffler will shuffle the tops and bottoms and make them a new outfit.

Date a Dog

About the Build

Date A Dog is a javascript dating game to find your new best friend. The game features Scout the dog, who asks you questions as if you are on a first date. Based on answers, the users accumulate a certain amount of hearts. If enough hearts are earned, the user wins a date with Scout. The code was written in Vanilla Javascript and refactored in jQuery.

Italian Racers

About the Build

Italian racers is a javascript app to race with Italy's finest plumber friends. Based on keystroke, two users can race against each other on a racetrack. Whichever racer completes the racetrack first will be declared the winner.

Hi! I'm Aileen Wong. I'm a former TV producer turned web developer who loves to tell stories. I'm now building full stack web applications and striving to learn through technology. I think logically and execute with design and user experience in mind. My positive attitude at work and in life has allowed me to be a great team leader and communicator.

In my free time, I figure skate competitively with my best friend, and in 2016 we were the undefeated (and unchallenged) champions at 2 local competitions in New York City.
